ADVENTUROUS TOURISM SAFARI IN ‘OLD FASHIONED’ VEHICLES

An organized group of friends comprised of residents from Arusha and Kilimanjaro yesterday started a four days adventurous trip using nine old models land rovers commonly known as Land rover series 1 and one old model range rover. In the trip the oldest land rover was made in 1941 while the newest one is of 1950.

The convoy started at Arusha National Park main gate at Ngongongare heading to Ngarenanyuki – Kitumbeine- Gelai up to Lake Natron. The trip will then proceed to Isinya – Amboseli National Park in Kenya and back to Arusha.

In Arusha National Park where the convoy started, the participants were able to explore the beauty of the park including the view of Mount Meru, the famous coloured Momela lakes and the 3 kilometres wide Ngurdoto Crater, which was formed over fifteen million years ago.
